Papers regarding the Beall, Henry, and McClure families of West Virginia. Includes a list of three generations of Samuel Beall and Elizabeth Henry descendants, newspaper obituaries, photocopies of family Bible entries regarding births, marriages, and deaths, and a 1945 photograph of three McClure family members, among other items. Also includes a 1925 announcement of a Morgantown High School Commencement and several early 1920s greeting cards.

Bean family
Papers and six manuscript volumes of Samuel and Thomas Bean and other members of the Bean settlement near Fabius, Hardy County. The volumes, 1833-1884, are accounts for the post office at Fabius, and for school taxes, blacksmithing, shoemaking, distilling, and other goods and services. There are lists of birth dates of members of the Gilmore family; scattered agricultural records; justice of the peace judgment dockets, 1848-1887; and loose business and post office records of Samuel Bean.

Papers and ledger of a Greenbrier Co. general store containing ledger entries for cloth, clothing, hardware and food items. The papers include inventories, receipts, contracts, correspondence and legal documents that pertain mostly to the indebtedness incurred by the company. Names mentioned are Hezekiah Belden, William Pettis, Edwin Porter, Samuel Price, Cyrus Walker, and Ezra Walker.

Berkeley County (W.Va.)
The papers and receipts of Sheriff Daniel Lefevre that reflect county business and his legal practice, with similar papers of other nearby residents. Also includes letters, documents, and news clippings about the socioeconomic, antebellum, and Civil War history of Berkeley County, [West] Virginia and Maryland. There are slave inventories containing descriptions and prices, and letters about the treatment of slaves and their conduct. Specific reference is made to Harriet Beecher Stowe's Uncle Tom's Cabin.

Lands deeds assigned to William Simpson, William Johnson, and Benjamin Johnson in Lexington, Lafayette County, Missouri by U.S. Presidents Andrew Jackson, John Tyler, and Martin Van Buren. These items were found in the desk of E.W. McClung in a residence in Sinks Grove, West Virginia. One deed has an original signature of President Andrew Jackson.
