This series includes these objects: address stamp for Earl L. Core, Biology Department (ca. 1963); small trowel imprinted with "The Duntile Company" (ca. 1960s); and a "Micro Windgauge Receiver Sight, No. 48, for Springfield Rifles" with box and insert (ca. 1910). Also, includes these objects moved from box 14: three cut nails (ca. 1820) and mailing envelope; and an unidentified key on twine taped to envelope labeled "FILM."

Ledger of illness remedies used by Dr. Ashford Brown of Gladesville, West Virginia, who practiced medicine in Monongalia, Preston and Taylor counties before and during the Civil War.

Association for the Preservation of Virginia Antiquities (APVA) (1889-2009)
The records largely document the recent history of Smithfield Plantation, ancestral home of the Preston family, focusing particularly on its restoration beginning in 1962. While much of the renovation occurred in the 1960s, many of the records detail other renovation projects done in the 1970s and 1980s. The collection also includes historical and other related documents dating from before the original Preston family's residence at Smithfield.

Also includes a land deed for 100 acres in Monongalia County to Jacob Sole, Jr. (1827).

Morgan County
School commissioners' papers, 1821-1846, containing reports to the president and directors of the Literary Fund; treasurer's accounts and reports; reports of tuition paid for poor children; and a report on the formation of school districts. The collection also includes marriage lists and certificates of the officiating clergymen, 1820-1854.
