Deeds, wills, court orders, marriage and other records for Accomack County; Alexandria City; and parish registers, vestry books, marriage bonds, etc. for Albemarle County, Alexandria City, Abingdon, Atrim and Augusta parishes.

Church and Bible records, personal property tax lists, index to Confederate service records of Virginia soldiers, Revolutionary War public service claims, index to Revolutionary War record, Revolutionary War pension and claim [indices], index cards to Virginia legislative petitions, and index to muster rolls of the Virginia militia in the War of 1812.

This small collection consists of a small piece of paper with two imprints of the state seal of Virginia and one piece of vellum with penciled notes and ink stamped: L*Edwards 1792.

This collection consists of 17 folders. In addition to the untitled book, designated the "Von Frieling Sammelband," the collection contains photocopies of the book and materials related to the 20th century version of Von Frieling's green butter salve, also called Von Frieling's plaster salve. These materials include documentation and packaging for the salve, patent paperwork, correspondence, and various items related to herbal medicine and early German printing, as well as two samples of the salve itself.

The Waller family papers contains original documents including correspondence, deeds, land indentures, receipts, photographs and other papers related to the genealogical research of the Waller family by Anne Waller Reddy (1890-1971). Materials contain those belonging to or documenting Governor Littleton John Waller Tazewell as well as Benjamin and John Waller.

The collection includes manuscript materials (correspondence, land warrant, accounts, receipts, petition and will) and printed and typescript materials (invitations, broadside, newspaper and magazine clippings). Subjects of the various items include sale and survey of land; schools, churches, estates, comment on and description of agriculture, social and economic conditions in Kentucky, Georgia, Louisiana, South Carolina, Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, California, Morgantown, Fairmont, and Wheeling, WV, and Ireland; westward migration [1849]; gold mining, enslaved Africans; and business and family affairs.

The Watts family papers of Roanoke County, Virginia at "Oaklands" in Flat Creek, Campbell County) consist of correspondence and documents related to the American Revolution, the War of 1812, the United States Civil War, war with Osceola and Seminole tribes in Florida, Virginia politics, economic and social history (including enslavement),land ownership, farming, court cases and debt from 1786 to 1950 in southwest Virginia. The Watts are related to many other Virginia families including James and Dolley Madison. This collection represents a great view into historical and social events of the eighteenth and nineteenth century in Virginia.
