Correspondence of the Preston, Davis (including John W.), Rand, and Arnold families from about 1817 to 1924. Includes several sermons of David R. Preston. Collection also contains many interesting pamphlets dealing with the important political and religious issues of the period. There are also copies of speeches delivered by John W. Davis, Waitman T. Willey, and other congressmen discussing important national political issues. Also includes newspapers and newspaper clippings related to the political career of John W. Davis and some Davis family photographs.
