Collection 15 of German and Eastern Front bank notes. Of note are specific locations for some of the notes which include a note from the period of the Russo-Japanese War and the First Russian revolution in 1905, a Ukrainian bank note issued by the short lived Ukrainian People's Republic in 1918, and a Bulgarian bank note which dates from the first decade of communist rule in Bulgaria. The notes illustrate the tumultuous history of economics for this area and show the severity of the hyperinflation in Germany and surrounding Eastern parts of Europe in the early 20th Century.
