Norfolk (Va.), Borough Registers, 1783-1810, consist of two volumes of records documenting damages to cargo or ships experienced during a voyage by ships arriving at the port of Norfolk. One volume covers 1783-1790 and the other spans 1791-1810.

Norfolk (Va.) Court Record, 1824 Sept. 18. The collection contains a letter removed from Norfolk court records. The letter is from W. F. Stone to John R. Triplett. Stone discusses Triplett's account with him and the purchase of molasses, coal, and other items.

Norfolk (Va.) Death Records, 1901-1969, consist of certificates of death that record: name, race, and sex of the deceased; date and place of death; name of the disease or cause of death; age at death; date and place of birth; occupation; marital status; whether an autopsy was performed; names of parents of the deceased; name of person giving the information; name of funeral director and location of funeral home where the deceased was interred; description of the informant (whether a physician, nurse, family member, or other person); place of death (whether a hospital, residence, river, etc.); place of residence; interval between onset of disease or injury and death; if death by injury, where injury occured; and disposition of body (whether buried, cremated, or removed from locality).

Norfolk (Va.) Permanent Registration Roll, 1902-1903, records the roll of registered voters in Norfolk. The volume is divided by precincts, and within each precinct on the basis of color. Information found in the volume includes date of registration; number of registered voter; name of registered voter; date of birth; age; occupation; residence; length of residence in state, county, and precinct; whether exempt from poll tax; if naturalized, and if so, date of papers and by what court issued; if transferred from another precinct, and if so, when and to what precinct.

Norfolk (Va.) Will Books, 1834-1979, includes the names of testator, list of heirs and year the wills were proven in court and probate records such as inventories and appraisements.
