This collection consists of three letters. Two are addressed to Jane Pendleton and one s addressed to Gordon Pendleton. There is a letter dated January 4, 1867 written to Jane by her aunt, M. A. Adams. She writes about her financial situation and family matters. Another was written to Jane by her brother-in-law William Pendleton dated February 2, 1879. it consoles her on the death of her long-time husband. The letter to Gordon was written by his brother, A. W. Pendleton in Warsaw, Virginia and is dated February 23, 1857.
