Color: navy blue blouse and blue gray trousers Material: wool blend/ black satin (?) lining blouse/ trousers have off white cotton (?) lining around waist and for pockets Manufacturer: Virginia Polytechnic Institute Uniform Department, Blacksburg VA Donor: Condition: fair, stitching in blouse liner is undone in a few places, three buttons on inside of collar missing (center one replaced with a white plastic button), looks as if a metal was ripped off of each side of collar on exterior, trousers are stained and have been patched on places where they were worn Special Markings: Dry cleaner tag on trousers and blouse (red, circled eight, 106), US ROTC shield shaped patch on lower left sleeve (light blue stitching on black background), black outline down the center, around the collar, along the bottom, around bottom of sleeve, and two strips extend up the back almost to the top. Black plastic button on right side of blouse with hooks on the left. Trousers button up with black plastic buttons instead of zipper, black strip down outside of trouser legs, 2 gold strips above wide black trim on lower sleeve ( 2 gold-service strips indicate a junior). Label in trousers: John U. Thacker, blouse: Dixon (too faded to be sure) 28-46-40-48-17(2)-16(2)
