Series 1: Letters

Letters are filed in chronological order within each folder. Consequently, there may be more than one letter in the folder written by the person listed in the inventory and also, the letters written by this person may not be filed together within the folder. If the researcher is interested in a person, look throughout the folder. If the researcher is interested in a subject, each letter by the person writing about the subject must be looked at make sure all of the information about the subject has been seen. This series is divided into subseries by family name.
