Papers, 1886-1942, of Vice-Admiral Guy Hamilton Burrage. Includes commissions, orders, correspondence, photographs, scrapbooks and medals. Includes material relating to his command of the "U. S. S. Nebraskaquot; during World War I and the "U. S. S. Memphisquot; which returned Charles A. Lindbergh from Paris after his historic flight. There are also papers relating to his involvement in an attempt to resolve the Lindbergh kidnapping case in 1932.

Letter from Newton D. Baker, Cleveland, Ohio to Otto Miller thanking him for sending Volume X of the "Gooch and Temperley British Documents" (Origins of the War by G.P. Gooch and Harold Temperley). He notes that "I am more and more amazed at the light hearted way a lot of people are writing in our papers and magazines about 'the causes of the war!'" May 8, 1936.

Collection of photographs from the Nuzum family of Fairmont and related families, including the Reed, Ferguson, Ostrowske, Winslow, and Diven families. The photographs include portraits and candid shots of mostly children, but also other family members. There are also portraits and candid shots of men in military uniform from World War I and World War II. Also contains greeting cards and the funeral book of Iva Nuzum. Most of the photographs include identifications and dates, though not all of them.

This collection details the history of the Offley Family from 1826 to 1916 through correspondences, diaries, photographs and personal effects. Its creators include multiple generations of Offleys and their associates. The papers provide insight into the daily life of the era as well as major geopolitical events such as the Greek War of Independence, the Spanish-American War, the Philippine-American War, the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake, and World War I. Many of the Offleys served in the United States armed forces. The collection also includes photographs of individuals unrelated to, but, of the same era as, the Offley Family.

Correspondence and the original draft of "West Virginia and Its Government" by Dr. Oscar D. Lambert, West Virginia University history professor and manuscripts collector for the West Virginia Collection. Papers deal with Dr. Lambert's teaching duties, his various writings and publications, and his archival collecting activities at the West Virginia and Regional History Center.

This collection contains a single uncut sheet of seventeen portraits of European royals, military, and political leaders to be used as transfer patterns for decorating Easter eggs by the Paas Dye company. These "Transfer-O-s" are printed in reverse on tissue paper measuring roughly 5 X 9 inches. Produced sometime before the United States entered the First World War, the packaging includes a quality disclaimer made by the company related to wartime supply chain issues saying "Any variation from former standards occurring in this package are unavoidable. The European War compels changes in some instances. We believe, however, these goods will be satisfactory."
