The scrapbook also includes mementos relating to events in South Dakota and news clippings of national and international events.

61 pages of entries in a bound leather journal of a young American women who traveled to Italy, Switzerland, Austria, France, and England in 1900. She is accompanied by a friend, Sally Smith, Mrs. Reynolds, and a woman named Georgia. Her trip begins in Venice where she is courted by many Italian soldiers, partakes in gondola rides, and enjoys the sights. She then travels to Verona while on her way to Innsbruck, Austria. She also visits Zurich and Geneva, Switzerland. Once she get to Paris, France, she and her company attend the "Exposition Universelle". After visiting London, she heads back home to the states via a steam ship.

175 handwritten letters written by Frances Beckwith to her sister Emma Louise, during three trips to Europe between 1926 and 1935, and in New York in 1950. Beckwith was traveling alone after retiring at the age of 45. The letters describe her travels, the people staying in hotels and pensions with her, and the events and locations she visited, especially churches. Beckwith is very critical, and frequently makes racist and anti-Semitic comments and comparisons.

A 77 page scrapbook containing 50 postcards, 3 dried flowers, 7 photos, and 254 pages of letters written by Genevieve Kerdell. Kerdell sent the letters and postcards to her parents over the course of her travels through Europe in 1928. The countries visited include Italy, France, Germany, and England.

This collection contains the diaries, 1953-1960, of Gertrude Lovett of Beverly, Massachusetts. The diaries describe trips taken by Lovett and her husband, Earle Lovett. The first diary, 1953, concerns a road trip taken by the Lovetts starting in Massachusetts and traveling to the West Coast of the United States and Canada, including stops in a number of National Parks. There is also an account of a trip to Florida in 1960.

In 1949 Harry Saxer, a Pennsylvania steel executive, and his wife Anna Saxer traveled to Germany to assist U. S. military officials with the restoration of Germany's steel industry after World War II. The Saxers were in Germany for much of 1949. Harry Saxer was a civilian employee of the U. S. Army, and worked with the Combined Steel Group in Germany.

Three letters from Helena C. Koiner, a Virginia-born missionary working in China, to Elizabeth Van Dyck. The first letter details Koiner's departure from San Francisco to Yokohama for China. Describes the people on the boat with her in great detail, including missionary families, Chinese and Japanese families heading home, a few unattached men, and a group "trying to drink themselves to death" before they left port. She also gossips about a nice Dutch scientist with whom she has been playing Bridge and the musical entertainment on board the ship.

Diary, 1927, 1928, 1934 of Helen Drumm, a teacher of Tacoma and Republic, Washington (State). Helen Drumm records her 1927 and 1934 trips to California describing some places and structures in great detail. Her entries also cover the year 1928 when she moved to Republic, Washington to take on a new teaching position.

The diaries of Helen Liszka Marx are two notepads, one with personal information such as poems and addresses, and the other a diary of her travels from Chicago to Ohio, Vermont, Oklahoma, and Missouri from June 1935 to August 1936.
