Diaries, scrapbooks, and letters, circa 1905-1919, of Ruth Thompson of Indianapolis, Indiana. Includes scrapbooks and diaries of Thompson's time at the Bradford Academy, a women's boarding school in Haverhill, Massachusetts. There are also diaries from after Thompson's graduation, when she returned to Indianapolis. These include entries about World War I, including newspaper clippings of people from her area who were drafted. Finally, there are letters written to Thompson by various people.

Diary of S. Agnes Kummer of Baltimore, Maryland. In addition to her life in Baltimore where S. Agnes Kummer taught school, she documents her travels within the United States, as well as to England and France. Entries are written in English for the most part with some expressions and sentences in French.

Diary, 1898, of Sallie B. Taylor of Frenchtown, New Jersey. Primarily concerns her daily activities, which include time spent at work, sewing, events which she attends, and trips that she takes to see family and friends. Her trips take her to such places as Waldwick, New Jersey, to visit members of her family and New York City. There are also some ledger pages at the end of the volume which include lists of purchases Taylor made and their cost.

Scrapbook of Sarah M. Severance (b. 1835) documenting her visit to the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition in San Francisco, California through postcards and detailed description.

Collection contains manuscript materials compiled before, during, and after the American Civil War (1861-1865) by a young English-born woman living in Virginia, including a war-time commonplace book and letters documenting her decline into depression during the war, which evidently led to her stay in a mental health facility by 1870.

Autograph diary of Susannah Nourse who was a student at Bolton Seminary in Brooklyn, New York. Most entries are poems with some prose. Many entries are by Nourse's family. A list of autographs is included with the diary.

Diaries, 1977, 1980-1983, 1985, 1987, 1989 and undated of unidentified female traveler orginially from Ohio and later Florida. Among the countries visited are Austria, Germany, France, The Netherlands and Italy. Descriptions cover food, observations of people and sites visited including describing traveling through the checkpoints between West and East Germany. Also included are ephemera, like wine labels, brochures, receipts, etc.

Diary, circa 1870s, of Vernon Gertrude Wilson. Includes poems and songs, presumably written by Vernon Gertrude Wilson. Many of the songs have religious themes, while others are about love and fidelity.

Diaries of Violet Laughead Barnett (d. 1972) of West Chester, Pennsylvania for the years 1931-1972 (with the exceptions of 1967 and 1968). Violet Barnett was a homemaker and had two children, Ethel and Earl. Daily entries cover chores, weather, family and social life. There is also the occasional comment on national and international events. Violet Barnett was very engaged in church activities and a member of several chapters of the National Grange. Also included are a few newspapers clippings, invitations, greeting cards, postcards, business cards and miscellaneous notes. A ledger book from 1920 is contained at the end and the identity of the author is not confirmed.
