47 collectible sports cards of professional and college athletes who were student athletes at West Virginia University. Most of the cards are of the players during their professional careers; a few of the cards are for college athletes. 46 of the cards are for football players and 1 is for basketball. There are also miscellaneous WVU athletics publications, collegiate football fan guides, a WVU baseball program, WVU basketball programs, and WVU football programs.

Papers of the Dickinson, Gordon, and related families of the Cheat Lake area of Monongalia County, West Virginia. Includes series of Papers of Deborah Gordon, Miscellaneous, Genealogy Records, Pamphlet and Ledgers, Artifacts, and Oversize. Papers of Deborah Gordon includes "Order of Rainbow" material (ca. 1950s), and a scrapbook documenting West Virginia University athletic events (she was a cheerleader), travel, and special events. Genealogy Records includes information regarding William Norris of Cheat Neck (settled 1781); also includes information on George Baker, George Norris, Addison S. Two scrapbooks (10 in. x 13 in.) compiled by Mabel Marie Griffith (born 02-28-1896) documenting her life in Morgantown, West Virginia in the period 1914-1926, including her personal and family life, education (Morgantown High School and West Virginia University), and her attendance of athletic, musical, and theatrical events. There is documentation of the effects of World War I (WWI) on Morgantown, Redpath Chautauqua, the impact of the influenza epidemic on the family of Charles Holt (the brother of Mabel Griffith's Mother, recorded in a newspaper clipping), and Mabel Griffith's wedding to Rudolph Stoyer (10-10-1920). There are illustrations (clipped and pasted into the scrapbook), photographs, clippings, programs, postcards, grade school report cards, and ephemera. Ephemera includes calling cards, dance cards, and greeting cards.

Photocopy facsimile of scrapbook assembled by Mildred Arnett-Reed (11' x 16'; 95 pages). Includes photographs, letters from her sister and friends, newspaper clippings, programs, and ephemera documenting Reed's activities in the Morgantown, West Virginia area during her high school years (1924-27). There are also clippings and letters regarding her wedding in 1931, and greeting cards for her 25th wedding anniversary. Photographs include candid and portrait shots of Mildred's family (William E. Arnett, Sr. family) and friends. Newspaper clippings report Mildred Arnett's marriage to Rufus Reed, birth of her daughter Ann, and local events and entertainment in the Morgantown area. Programs document musical, theatrical, and athletic events in Morgantown, including silent movies at the Strand Theater, and events of Morgantown High School and the Metropolitan Theatre, among others. Many of these programs include numerous advertisements for Morgantown businesses. There is also a program for the dedication of new facilities for Morgantown High School (1927). Ephemera includes name cards, dance cards, greeting cards, cartoons, school certificates, gift tags, tickets, and Alpha Xi Delta Sorority invitations and dance programs, among others.

The diary, presented to Annie Brewer of Monroe County by James O. B. Kelly in 1887, includes entries by her from December 1886 to August 1888. It notes her social and family life. Brewer gave the diary to her boyfriend, Robert E. Lee Keadle in August 1888, and he wrote in it until 1891. Keadle's writings describe his active social and romantic life in Monroe Co. and as a law student at West Virginia University in 1889 and 1890. He also provided details of his academic, leisure, and religious pursuits and historical events in Morgantown. Keadle entered law practice with John Osborne in Union in 1890.

Sound recordings of interviews conducted with Tony Constatine in 2001, sports editor of the Morgantown Post from 1936-1972. Topics addressed include the history of football and basketball at West Virginia University (WVU) through the decades. Includes over 20 hours of interviews on original set of cassette audio tapes, and duplicate set of digital audio files on 27 compact discs (numbered 1-8, 8a-26). Also present are compact discs 27-29 with additional sports related files. Interviews were conducted by Edgar O. Barrett. Constatine has written two books on WVU football, including "Mountaineer Football, 1891-1969" and "A Record of West Virginia University Football, The First 100 Years".

West Virginia University athletic jacket, ca. 1970 to 1980, believed to have belonged to a student athlete. Jacket was manufactured by the Felco Athletic Wear Co. Inc. of New York, which was in business from 1959 until 1992. The jacket is dark blue with white and gold trim. "WVU" in cloth letters is sewn on the back and left breast of the jacket; a cloth "73" is sewn onto the left sleeve. Jacket is size extra large and made of 100% nylon.
