Four letters written by future Confederate Spy Antonia Ford. The letters were written to Ford's school friend Frances "Frankie" Carper. Two were written during Ford's terms at the Buckingham Female Collegiate Institute and two were written from her home in Fairfax, VA. The letters include details of her social life as well as her view on her boarding school experiences.

Diary, 1933, of Clara Louise Schiefer, Rochester, N.Y. The following description was provided by the seller: "1933 handwritten diary of Clara-Louise Schiefer who had lived on Westland Ave. in Rochester, NY. Lots of memorabilia stuck in between the pages in regards to that day's entry. Some of the memorabilia items are: Vintage 1933 Halloween invitation to a party on Grosvenor Rd; School football photo of Brighton High School team; newspaper clippings, etc. Ms. Schiefer toured Germany and Switzerland in the summer of 1933 and writes about her trip.

Correspondence, photographs, and military papers concerning the World War II service of 2nd Lt. A.N.C. Lina Nancy Potter (1901-1975) of Narragansett, Rhode Island. Potter enlisted in the United States Armed Forces in 1942 and served as a nurse in a military hospital in India from 1943-1945. This collection consists of 23 letters of her outgoing wartime correspondence to family (her Aunt Harriet E. Weaver and Uncle Charles Weaver of Rhode Island) in the United States, her military papers, and three wartime photographs of Potter and her fellow nurses. Potter's correspondence is of special interest because Potter was allowed to censor her own letters (perhaps because she was an officer) before they were sent to the United States. Thus, Potter's correspondence contains a log of wartime conditions at a hospital near Burma, India. Her letters discuss poor food and housing conditions, status of her work in India, the war in India and China, and aspects relative to women's history during the Second World War.

These papers are primarily related to Marguerite I. Tise's time working as the stenographer with the Economic Survey Mission to the Philippines from July 10 through September 6, 1950. Tise's offical letter of assignment to the mission is included along with two detailed Survey member lists, the 107 page "Report to the President of the United States" the group compiled, and a three page letter Tise wrote home to her family while serving.

The papers of American writer Molly Elliot Seawell include personal diaries, correspondence, memoirs, photographs, news clippings, and other materials. Also included are photocopies of Seawell's business papers housed at the New York Public Library and at the Columbia University Library. The collection also contains other records from the Seawell family, mostly relating to Molly's aunt Maria Seawell Edwards, John T. Seawell and wife Isabella Josephine Brady, and Philip Hairston Seawell. The collection comprises four series: Diaries, 1900-1914; Personal Records, 1901-1916; Professional Records, 1889-1915; and Seawell Family Records, 1859-2001.

This ledger contains the minutes of the Order of the Eastern Star of Easton, Massachusetts, which was organized May 17, 1920. It was organized as a social and financial aid to the chapter. The ledger gives members' names and activities.

This collection comprises letters sent primarily to and from Annie and Nellie Pease. They are from local friends and schoolmates as well as members of the Pease family who are situated for the most part in Bangor and Cornish, Maine. The letters deal with the personal lives of a close social network of young girls and their families who stay in touch after their graduation from school. The subjects of the letters range from classes, teachers and vacation plans to what is going on in the local community concerning deaths, weddings, and travel. A detailed examination of these letters reveals information concerning the school life and education of young, nineteenth-century women as well as their own experiences of teaching. Moreover, there are details as to what books were popular, from Caesar to Cicero and Dickens to Emerson, as well as to what subjects were being taught and how the girls responded to them; botany, natural history, and flower collecting are frequently mentioned.

Diary, 1792-1793, of Sarah Anderson Jones kept in Mecklenburg County, Virginia which contains religious writings but also references to the schism in the Methodist Church between the followers of James O'Kelly and Francis Asbury.
