The collection consists of scrapbooks, journals, V.P.I. reunion materials, photograph albums, family diplomas, and the diary of Nannie V. Sibold. As a whole, the collection dates from 1912 to 1990. However, Carrie T. Sibold's scrapbook journals, which run from 1974 to 1990, constitute the the bulk of the collection material.

This collection consists of a letter from Christopher Kraft in Connecticut to Elizabeth Plank in Blacksburg, Virginia. The envelope is stamped with the date of January 10, 1945. In the letter, Kraft reflects upon his time in Blacksburg and some of his thoughts of Connecticut.

This collection contains two scrapbooks of photographs and ephemera compiled by DeWitt Clinton Wolfe, Jr., a 1921 graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and a member of the VPI Corps of Cadets. The materials document Wolfe's experiences as a student in the Cadet Corps from about 1919 to 1921, including sporting events, camping excursions, "rat parades" and as a trumpet player in the Cadet Corps band. The collection also contains a CD with selected scanned photographs from the albums.

The George W. L. Kabrich Family Papers, 1850-1947 [bulk 1850-1904], contain correspondence, legal records, financial records, and religious documents. The collection documents the personal and professional life of George W. L. Kabrich, who taught school and Sunday school, worked as Overseer of the Poor for Blacksburg Township, and was on church councils for local Lutheran churches. Items also relate to George's father-in-law John Surface, his daughter Effie Kabrich, and others. An item of note is a Rat Belt which is believed to have belonged to Robert H. Kabrich, the grandson of George's brother Issiah.

This collection contains the papers of Harry W. Sanders, graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute (BS, 1916); professor of agricultural education and vocational education (1925-1963) and professor emeritus of vocational education (1963-1985) at Virginia Tech; vocational teacher-trainer in Puerto Rico (1932-1933); co-founder of Future Farmers of Virginia (basis of Future Farmers of America). It includes correspondence, articles, printed materials, awards, scrapbooks, and photographs relating to Sanders' personal life and professional career (including his year in Puerto Rico, developing a vocational agricultural education program), as well as the histories of Virginia Tech and Blacksburg, Virginia.

The Henry H. Hill collection consists of historical and genealogical research compiled by Hill during his lifetime in southwest Virginia. Hill (1880-1954) was an alumni and professor at Virginia Polytechnic Institute.

John R. Hutcheson Family Collection, 1890/1969, bulk 1930/1950 1.7 Cubic Feet 2 boxes

John R. Hutcheson family
Correspondence, photographs, newspaper clippings, and other items document the career and family of John R. Hutcheson. After earning his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Virginia Polytechnic Institute (VPI), John Redd Hutcheson (1886-1962) began working at the Virginia Agricultural Extension Service in 1914, becoming its director in 1919. Hutcheson was elected as president of VPI in 1945, serving until his nomination as VPI's first chancellor in 1947. The next year he became the first president of the VPI Educational Foundation, Inc. Hutcheson married Eleanor Parrott, with whom he had three children: Eleanor Catlett, John Hutcheson, Jr., and Robert Hutcheson.
