The Homer E. Davis Papers is a collection of photographs resulting from an effort to record the gravesites of American Civil War generals. Also represented are the gravesites of other prominent personalities in U. S. military, political, legal, business, entertainment, art and literary history--together with research files on cemeteries and individuals. Materials related to historical organizations (particularly District of Columbia area Civil War roundtables); Civil War printed materials and memorabilia; and personal materials.
