Abstract Or Scope
Records of a pension, bounty land, and bounty money agency in Orange, Massachusetts, operated by Damon E. Cheney, include the War of 1812 military service rosters of the Delaware, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia militias; record of the Georgia and Florida militias in the Second Seminole War, 1835-1843; and an "Index to Militia in the Florida War; and the New York Militia, Northern Frontier Disturbance, 1837-8." Other records include applications for bounty lands under the Act of 3 March 1855, and applications for invalid pensions under the Act of 14 July 1862.
