Halifax County (Va.) Court Records, 1832-1844. The collection contains two letters removed from Halifax County court records. The first is an 1832 letter written from a Mr. Williams to William B. Banks and used as an exhibit in a court case involving Williams B. Banks in 1834. The letter includes a discussion of the cost of construction of an unidentified bridge. The second letter, dated 30 May 1844, is from Webb Bacon and Co. and addressed to White and Milner. It pertains to a business transaction and it includes a reference to the price of tobacco.
