The Warren Strother Collection contains official correspondence between Dr. T. Marshall Hahn and various Virginia Polytechnic Institute departments, 319 oral history interviews on cassette tapes, and 48 transcribed interviews. These materials focus on Dr. Hahn's administration of VPI and were used to create a book entitled From VPI to State University: President T. Marshall Hahn, Jr. and the Transformation of Virginia Tech, 1962-1974 written by Warren Strother and Peter Wallenstein.

Washington County Oral History Transcripts,

The Washington County Oral History Transcripts were compiled by four Abingdon High School students. The transcripts detail interviews with Washington County residents Evelyn Campbell, Emma Josephine Poland Surber, and Nancy Johnson. The interviewees discuss their childhood activities, childhood fashion, schooling, and what their household was like in southwest Virginia. The students also inquire about the change in gas, cars, and houses since the interviewees were kids. Lastly, the students ask the interviewees to describe the impact of desegregation of their lives and communities.

Jones, assistant professor in the Department of History at Virginia Tech. Interviewees were Thelma Booth, Rose Burnett, Kate Huff Bruce, Thelma Eaves, Wenona S. Gardner, Dot Humphries, Agnes Hurt, Esther Jones, Herta Lopez, Leola Pearce Pearson, Pauline Pitsinger, Marge Robinson, Dorothy Shueler, Laura Scott, Alison Sulloway, Nelle Trent, Bernice Weston, Minnie Williams, and Glenna Yeatts. Materials consist of cassette and mini-cassette tapes and student essays about their interviewees. Transcripts available for the Humphries, Jones, and Weston interviews.
