This collection consists of a notebook and pamphlets used by draft counselors at the College of William and Mary, newspaper articles about the draft and the counseling service, and a short review of the activities and history of the service during the Vietnam War. The counselors included William & Mary faculty members.

The Edward C. Shepherd papers consist of three notebooks, two documents, and an annotated analytical geometry text that belonged to VMI cadet Edward C. Shepherd during his years at VMI (1851-1855).

"Lectures on the Institute and Practice of Physic," taken by Edward M. Watts and based on the lectures of Doctor Nathaniel Chapman of the University of Pennsylvania. The volume includes the name Geo[rge] W. Maupin.

The vast majority of the Edwin S. Cohen papers document his position as assistant secretary of the Treasury for Tax Policy and as under secretary of the Treasury for the Nixon administration. In addition there is considerable documentation of his work in private practice in New York and Washington, DC, and teaching at UVA Law.
