Mss. Acc. 1993.06-01, Series 1 - 4: Papers and photographs of the Edward Myers Lee Family of Williamsburg, Virginia. Lee graduated from the College of William and Mary, as did many of his children. An album has photos of a May Pole in front of the Williamsburg Court House on Duke of Gloucester St. The papers include material for some of his children, particulary Elizabeth Mallory Lee (Mrs. John Walston Henderson), Peticolas Lee (Mrs. Robert Edward Lee), Mary King Lee, and Edward M. Lee. Mrs. Victoria L. Lee, Mrs. Carrie Lee and Richard Henry Lee are also mentioned.

Papers, 1918-1936, of Lewis Peyton Little, a Baptist minister in Williamsburg, Virginia. Includes correspondence and notes concerning his duties as a chaplain in World War I and the writing of his books. There are drafts of his "Imprisoned Preachers and Religious Liberty in Virginia" (Lynchburg, Virginia., J.P. Bell Co., 1938) and of an unpublished work entitled "The Battle of Bethel".

Papers, 1783-1862, of the Thomas Smith family of Powhatan County, Va., Kentucky, and Ohio. Includes typescripts of letters, 1841-1842, of James George Smith; typescript of letter, 1862, of Thomas E. Smith; constitution, 1798, of the Emigration Society; and letter, 1799, and address, n.d., of the Humane Society against slavery. The Marie M. and Edith W. Smith Papers are primarily the genealogical charts and notes used to trace ancestral lines to the twenty-five Sureties of the Magna Carta (Barons of Runnymede). The notes are almost all from printed sources. Research covers Huguenot settlers in Virginia and Quaker and Scots-Irish settlers of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The collection also includes genealogical charts and notes compiled by Marie M. Smith and Edith W. Smith.

Papers, 1793-1890, of sisters and Quaker educators, Mary and Hannah Gibbons. A small number of papers are directly related to their brother, Joseph Gibbons. Correspondence predominantly discusses relatives, friends, travels, and religious sentiments. The second series of items is family and personal papers, consisting of poems, copied scripture, drug prescriptions, and family records. The papers relating to the Infant School established by Mary and Hannah Gibbons make up the third series and include student work, account books, and promotional pieces.

Mary Ann Magnoni Sabbath notebook, 1836, 0.03 cubic feet, presented to Mary Ann Magnoni by her Sabbath School teacher (Mr. Bumstead) at the First Baptist Church of Boston. She used the notebook like a diary to record home prayers, church worship, and Sunday school events in 1836 when she was approximately twenty-two years old. Also included are notes about several preachers and their teachings. She mentions Reverend Adlam, Reverend Dr. Sharp, Reverend William Collier, Reverend Mr. Harthone, and Reverend Mr. [William] Haque.

Contains notebooks, sheet music, correspondence, manuscripts and other material pertaining to Mary Thedieck Ewald, class of 1942 at the College of William and Mary. The bulk of the papers relates to Ewald's writing career, mainly poetry. The collection also contains notebooks from her undergraduate days at William & Mary as well as graduate notebooks from Harvard University.
