This collection contains announcements, annual reports, correspondence, minutes, and newsletters from the Department of Religious Studies: correspondence from 1982-1999; fliers for campus lectures, 1975-2005; departmental meeting minutes from 1976-1987; copies of the newsletter 'Religion News' from 1986; and a 1971 statement on the Divinity School at the college in the 1820s.

The Ephemera Collection contains material primarily acquired for teaching. It includes material in various formats, most of which have been previously published. The collection is currently being processed and new items will be added on an ongoing basis. For this reason, the indicated date range is approximate at this point.

The collection of the Faculty Women's Caucus at the College of William and Mary includes correspondence from 1973-1996 related to women faculty salaries and tenure; maternity leave and childcare; EEO and Affirmative Action; women's athletics, dealing mostly with Title IX, both within the College of William and Mary and the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA); sexual harassment; campus security; the Women's Studies program; and discriminatory findings. Also included are salary survey reports, William and Mary climate studies, copies of the newsletter Caucus News, event fliers, articles, newspaper clippings, related publications, and other resource material.

These papers document James B. McClellan's 1977-1978 tenure as minority counsel to the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Separation of Powers. In this capacity, McClellan prepared briefs and memoranda for several senators --Orrin Hatch, R-Utah; James Allen, D-Alabama; and Jesse Helms, R-North Carolina-- taking the minority position throughout the Panama Canal treaty debates. The collection contains manuscript and published materials that document Congressional opposition to the treaties. In addition, there are published political action pamphlets and newsletters designed to coordinate and orchestrate public opposition to the Carter administration's proposed revised Panama Canal treaties.

This collection includes items from the founding of sorority Kappa Alpha Theta, Beta Lambda in the 1920s at the College of William and Mary and material from the late 1940s to the present. Founding documents include a petition of the William and Mary chapter of Gamma Omega (a local fraternity) to become a chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta and a draft of a letter to Anne L. Miller, President, District VII, Kappa Alpha Theta, concerning the petition. The records from the 1930s to the present include newsletters from the 1940s-1950s, programs and fliers from the 1940s to 2005, meeting minutes and attendance sheets from the 1950s to the 1990s, slides of their various events in the 1980s and 1990s, scrapbooks from the 1930s-1950s & 1980s, photographs, and related material.
