Minutes, 1842 March 16-May 3, of meetings of the Cerulean Society of Williamsburg, Virginia which was a literary club formed by three women who inducted male "knights" into the group. A "knight" read a poem or thesis at each meeting and his talk was recorded in the volume. The book was kept by Mary Greenhow Lee while on a visit to Williamsburg and contains a list of people she visited. It also includes diary entries, 16 March-3 May 1842, concerning her visit in Williamsburg and 20 September-17 December 1842, concerning a visit in Winchester, Virginia.

Professional and personal papers of Channing Moore Hall (1890-1953) attorney and mayor of Williamsburg. Charlottesville (Va.) Deeds, 1888-1917 (bulk 1888-1916) consist of deeds of bargain and sale, deeds of gift, mortgages, deeds of trust, and deeds of emancipation, professional certificates, indentures, bills of sale, meeting minutes, insurance policies, powers of attorney and wills. On presentation to the court, deeds were proved and recorded. If the deed was not witnessed, the grantor acknowledged the deed in open court. A few of the deeds include plats.

The committees are long and short-term addressing such issues as athletics, enrollment, computing, searches for presidents and provosts, degrees, student assessment, and others. The material in this collection is generally publicly available documents, such as fliers, and does not usually include internal committee documents.

This collection contains biographical information relating to Reverend Curtis W. Harris, Ruth Jones Harris, Hopewell community members and calendars for the Harris family. Included in the collection are documents relating to Reverend Harris' time spent serving on Hopewell's City Council, materials from the churches Rev. Harris served, as well as his involvement with the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. In addition to this material are photo albums, pertaining to church related programs/activities and events at the Union Day Care Center, and artifacts.

Also present in the collection is correspondence from the Dean, as well as subject files on degree requirements, the Sharpe Community Partnership Program, and other topics.
