Minute book, 1871-1911 of the 28th Brigade, Battery A, (Binghampton, N.Y.), which later became the 6th Battery (3rd and 4th Division).Entries are for regular monthly as well as special meetings and detail resolutions, motions made, changes to bylaws and reports of the finance, entertainment and library committees. Activities included among others concerts, annual dances and receptions and 4th of July celebrations. Recorded are names of members, officers, and the death of members is mentioned in some of the resolutions.

Minute book, 1948-1959 of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. Angel of Mt. Shavano Post 3820 (Salida, Col.). Recorded are minutes for 1948-1950, and membership and officers for 1947-1950. Minutes are fairly detailed and give a good impression of the group's activities.

Minute book of the Brotherhood of Local Firemen (U.S.). Lodge # 203 (Gary, Ind.) for the years 1884-1889. The following description was provided by the seller:"This 8 1/2" x 12 1/2" ledger ... represents the start of the Brotherhood of Local Fireman from Garrett, Indiana, March 8, 1884. ... The first page has an embossed circle with a locomotive centered and edge writings which read "Garfield Lodge No. 203 B. of L.F., Garrett, Ind.". Inside the circle is embossed "Organized March 8, 1884". The front cover is missing and the back cover is loose. The first two pages are loose and soiled and starting to turn brittle. An inside section (12 pages connected) which was bound with string is loose. On the first written page at the heading is "Minnet Book" and below this are the minutes from the first meeting when organized by one S.M. Stevens G.Q.& I. from Terre Haute, Ind. and also dated March 8, 1884. These first two pages also have corner damage as well as the next three. After that the remaining 180 pages are in good condition with soiling on some corners. There are no missing pages and the minutes (once a month) read from 1884 through Feb. 1st, 1889. "

Minutes, 1897-1900, of the Matheon Woman's Club, Chicago, Illinois. Includes information on the clubs various educational and philanthropic activities. Listed are lectures, musical performances, balls and other fund raising events. The club also supported the Matheon Day Nursery which serviced the working poor of the area.In 1899 the club joined the Anti-Polygamy League and the League for Social Service in their public protest of a polygamist congressman from Utah.

Journal recording meeting minutes of Scott's Creek Social Club of Logan, Ohio from 1939-1954. The following description was provided by the seller: "This journal is a very detailed account of the meetings, members, officers, activities, and events of the Club which met regularly at "the School House" near Scott's Creek. The group was made up of both men and women with the group concerning itself with promoting the good of the Logan Schools and socializing. The entries cover all aspects of the club or organization and are written in a personal manner with most of the entries describing the plays, songs, talks, addresses, games, contests, meals, and musical performances provided by the members and/or guests. As many as 90 people would attend some of these meetings about once a month so they were well attended and quite popular in the community. As an example, the first entry ends with "It was an enjoyable evening for all-especially enjoyed the lovely music around the campfire while roasting wieners and drinking ice tea". There are tons of names in this book which include, Gordon, Harsh, Guthrie, Funk, Hartman, Mowrey, Howe, Mercer, Baker, Hankinson (Harmonica solo), Johnson, Wright, Carr (supt of Logan Schools), Riggs (Piano), Keller, Linton, Rohrer, Stone, Mooney, Fox, Allen, Hausel, Riggs, Swartz, Fitzgerald, Cruise, Dillon, Turner, Heinlein, Schaal, Wagner and more.
