Journal recording meeting minutes of Scott's Creek Social Club of Logan, Ohio from 1939-1954. The following description was provided by the seller: "This journal is a very detailed account of the meetings, members, officers, activities, and events of the Club which met regularly at "the School House" near Scott's Creek. The group was made up of both men and women with the group concerning itself with promoting the good of the Logan Schools and socializing. The entries cover all aspects of the club or organization and are written in a personal manner with most of the entries describing the plays, songs, talks, addresses, games, contests, meals, and musical performances provided by the members and/or guests. As many as 90 people would attend some of these meetings about once a month so they were well attended and quite popular in the community. As an example, the first entry ends with "It was an enjoyable evening for all-especially enjoyed the lovely music around the campfire while roasting wieners and drinking ice tea". There are tons of names in this book which include, Gordon, Harsh, Guthrie, Funk, Hartman, Mowrey, Howe, Mercer, Baker, Hankinson (Harmonica solo), Johnson, Wright, Carr (supt of Logan Schools), Riggs (Piano), Keller, Linton, Rohrer, Stone, Mooney, Fox, Allen, Hausel, Riggs, Swartz, Fitzgerald, Cruise, Dillon, Turner, Heinlein, Schaal, Wagner and more. "

Primarily concerns the election of officers, the chapter's celebration of Decoration Day, attendance at state and national encampments, selection of committee members, membership recruitment, member's dismissla, payment of dues, and expenditures on membership ribbons, lapel buttons, and flags for graves, among other items.

Papers of Stephen Pregun (1904-1985) of Passaic, New Jersey, including a diary, 1927-1929; a minute book for the American Rusin Falcon Chorus, New York District, Passaic Branch, 1927-1929, for which Stephen Pregun was secretary from 1928-1929; and a notepad, 1924, recording the work of a debt collector. It has not been determined if Stephen Pregun is the creator of the latter item as well.

Names and addresses of friends are listed in the back as is a key to abbreviated names used throughout the diary. He also talks about his courtship and subsequent engagement.The American Rusin Chorus' Minute Book starts out with a few pages probably written in the language spoken by the ethnic Rusin group that made up the chorus. Rusin (or Ruthenian) is an east-Slavic language that was spoken by ethnic groups from Karpaty Ukraine, Slovakia, Hungary as well as of parts of the former Yugoslavia.For a more detailed description see folder links below.
