Abstract Or Scope

Nelson County (Va.) Court Records, 1838-1849. The collection contains two documents removed from Nelson County court records: a letter from R.M. Perkins to Colonel R.B. Patterson, 1839, concerning a debt; and a commissioner's report giving an account of the sale of two slaves and other property from the estate of Mildred Ware. The slaves sold were Patty, who was sold to Charles B. Hines, and Philip, who was sold to Elizabeth Mullons. The report was created in 1838 and received by the court in 1849.
