Earlier letters are to A. G. DeSellem, an uncle, including several concerning missionary work and anti-slavery activities; mention is made of several colleges, Western Reserve, Oberlin, and a school in Albany.

The Allegheny Highlands Project Records consist of the administrative files of the Allegheny Highlands Project (AHP), September 1970-July 1980, as well as records of farming activities of farm cooperators enrolled in the program. Administrative records for the operation of the AHP include planning documents, policies and correspondence, budgets and other financial documents, progress reports, vendor records, promotional materials including information sheets, and job applications and other personnel-related papers including WVU faculty reviews.

The bulk of these papers deal with Miss Jarvis' work as the founder of Mother's Day, her attempts to persuade state governors to issue proclamations to establish the second Sunday in May as Mother's Day, and her later protests against the commercialization of the holiday, as well as the efforts of other organizations to promote Mother's Day.

Financial and farm records of James Campbell who owned a plantation near Arden, Berkeley County on which he also operated a store. The collection also includes a ledger and some loose financial papers of James L. Campbell who ran the family homestead.

Account book, 1856-1901, of James Wilson Campbell. Includes estate settlement of his father, James L. Campbell, Cattle pedigrees, and various accounts, including some kept in James L.'s hand. Correspondence, 1866-1899 concerns family affairs, business, and there is one letter from a cousin at Marietta College, 1866, telling of geological field trip through the Wood, Ritchie, Pleasants, oil district of W. Va. School notes on mathematics and surveying of James Wilson Campbell, ca. 1854-1859; Misc. papers, notes, accounts, etc.
