Please note that various spellings of "Pierpont" are used in this material. One publication regards the branch of the Pierpont family which lived in West Virginia (1953). The other publication is a reprint of an article from "The American Genealogist" (1957), regarding the 17th century Pierponts who emigrated from England to the then-colony of Maryland.

The collection also contains a brown velvet bonnet and a black scarf; six homemade quilts and a quilted pillow; and a fedora hat.
