The 67th Field Hospital Collection contains documents and photographs depicting the history of the 67th Field Hospital during the European Theater of World War II and the seventeen reunions of the 67th Field Hospital held from 1986 to 2002.

Papers, 1716-1944, of the John Tyler family of "Sherwood Forest," Charles City County, Va. The collection contains correspondence, 1818-1862, of John Tyler concerning politics, War of 1812 claims, presidential election of 1840, land purchases in western Virginia, Kentucky and Illinois, "Sherwood Forest," business matters and his family.

Diaries of Violet Laughead Barnett (d. 1972) of West Chester, Pennsylvania for the years 1931-1972 (with the exceptions of 1967 and 1968). Violet Barnett was a homemaker and had two children, Ethel and Earl. Daily entries cover chores, weather, family and social life. There is also the occasional comment on national and international events. Violet Barnett was very engaged in church activities and a member of several chapters of the National Grange. Also included are a few newspapers clippings, invitations, greeting cards, postcards, business cards and miscellaneous notes. A ledger book from 1920 is contained at the end and the identity of the author is not confirmed.

Diaries and photograph album, circa 1940s, of Virginia Howell of Richmond, Virginia. Virginia Howell was married to David Edward Howell, who was in the United States Army during World War II. Includes two volumes which contain diary entries, with photographs and letters from Edward Howell attached. Diary entries include information about Edward Howell's training at Camp Lee, Virginia, as well as information about Virginia Howell's daily activities and whether she received mail from Edward. There are also two photograph albums, which include pictures of Virginia and Edward Howell on trips that they took together, as well as pictures of Edward Howell and other military personnel. Mss. Acc. 2011.432 and 2012.054

Papers, 1887-1953, of Virginia Taylor McCormick, Norfolk, Va. poet, literary critic, essayist, lecturer, and editor of The Lyric magazine, 1921-1929. Includes manuscript and printed poems; essays; lectures; diaries, and correspondence with other poets and writers. Correspondents include Franklin Pierce Adams, Lady Astor, Lord Beaverbrook, Gamaliel Bradford, Van Wyck Brooks, Walter de la Mare, Ellen Glasgow, Rupert Hughes, Amy Lowell, H. L. Mencken and Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings.

Diary, 1826-1946, of Lydia Wasson (1800-1853) of North Carolina and La Porte, Indiana, her daughter Charlotte Wasson Cox, and her grandson William Wasson Cox (b. 1857). At the beginning of the diary, Lydia Wasson, a devout Quaker, chronicles her life from birth to 1826 when the regular diary entries begin. Toward the end of her life she dictated her entries to her daughter, who after her mother's death continued to write in the diary a few more times at irregular intervals. Charlotte Wasson also titled the diary "A brief sketch of the religious exercises and varied experiences of Lydia Wasson written by herself - age 52 years - at her death in 1852."

The collection contains correspondents, a diary, genealogy, photographs, and printed materials, documenting the West-Callis family. The West-Callis family is a Virginia family, that includes Georgianna Calllis, daughter of William Callis and Elizabeth (Simmons) of Norfolk, Virginia. Her husband Albert West, who served in the Confederate Army building arsenals.

Papers of Cloe Tyler Whittle Greene. Mostly diaries, 1855-1924, before and after her marriage to John Newport Greene. Also includes printed cards, photographs, verse, newspapers, scrapbooks, newspaper clippings, and prints of colonial and Civil War figures. Topics covered by the diaries include secession, Civil War, Reconstruction, travel, life in Norfolk, Virginia and marriage.
