Subjects include book publishing, newspaper and magazine articles, correspondence with legislators and congressmen, personal correspondence, former students, and the Democratic Convention delegate selection in 1928. Microfilm copy of records of the West Virginia University Faculty Senate from 1945 to 1958 and the Council of Administration from 1925 to 1945. Faculty Senate meeting minutes from 1945 provide information about the composition of the Senate and the creation of and the responsibilities of various committees. Minutes from the later years include committee reports; lists of members; the academic calendar; academic affairs; tenure and retirement; grading policies; instructional policies; and student affairs. Minutes also contain committee agendas and reports. Also included on this reel are minutes of the Council of Administration from 1925 to 1945. These chiefly discuss student affairs, including undergraduate student marriage, football schedules, new courses, residence requirements, and Greek organizations.
