This collection, which dates from 1806 to 1983, consists of property deeds, correspondence, wills, photographs, and genealogical materials.

This collection, which dates from 1877 to 1929, represents the business records of Richard Singleton Paulett, Paulett, Son& Company, S.W. Paulett, R.H. Paulett, H.A. Paulett, H.C. Paulett, E.L. Paulett, and Paulett and Bugg. These records include property deeds, deeds of trust, stock certificates, contracts, and correspondence.

Prince Edward County (Va.) Court Records, 1749-1925 (bulk 1750-1800), consist of judgments, criminal causes, road and bridge records, land records, tax and fiscal records, election records, fiduciary records, jury records, overseer of the poor records, election records, health and medical records, bonds/commissions/oaths, business records, justice of the peace records, clerk's records, court finance records, and miscellaneous records. Not every kind of record exists for every year.

Prince Edward County (Va.) Unrecorded and Recorded Deeds, 1755-1871, consist of deeds of bargain and sale, deeds of gift, mortgages, deeds of trust, and articles of agreements both recorded and unrecorded. Recorded deeds were proved and recorded in deed books. Unrecorded deeds were never proved and recorded in deed books. A few of the deeds include plats. Except for a few years early in the eighteenth century, slaves in Virginia were considered personal property and consequently were not usually sold by deed. However, they were often transferred in deeds of gift or were the property listed in mortgages and deeds of trust. Collection includes deeds recorded in the County Court and District Court of Prince Edward County.
