Business ledger, 344 pp., recording mainly the payroll for "Labor and Job Work" of Farwell's Mills, Lisbon, Androscoggin County, Maine, from August 1968 to November 1875. The following description was excerpted from the seller's notes: "Detailed breakdown by occupational location or job category, like "Weave room" "warp spinning" or "saw mill and outside." Also documents the full name of each employee, days worked per pay period, daily wages, and amounts due. A large percentage of the employees were women. Entries are signed as verification. Miscellaneous other entries include cost for the construction of specified buildings, repairs, water power, horses furniture, machinery and general expenses - all summarized in monthly recapitulations for the entire period. 1 volume.

Entries document work performed, output, sales, repairs, names of employees and compensation received. The following description was provided by the seller: "Also recorded are credits and other entries that tie the company and its workers to other businesses in this small mill town...Miscellaneous entries include credits and debits for foodstuffs, grains, cider, teas, tallow, oil, use of a horse and wagon, "extra work', boarding, factory and highway taxes and books."
