The “Shaping a Nation: Stories of the Lees” Manuscript Bookplate consists of .25 linear feet and contains a copper bookplate of the book cover for Ludwell Lee Montague’s book “Shaping a Nation: Stories of the Lees”. The Society of the Lees of Virginia posthumously published the book in 1995 which contains a collection of Montague’s historical essays on famous members of the Lee family of Virginia including places and homes associated with them.
