Kemp and Thomas Hahn, Kemp's student, wrote the book Alexandria Canal: Its History and Preservation. The box includes drafts, original photos, and correspondence regarding the publication of the book. The following items have been separated to Map Cabinet 12, Drawer 4, Folder 8: 2 sheets of engineer drawings (1843-1845, 1982), 4 maps (1855, 1973-1975, undated).
