I wish it would call out every man in the country that is able to bear arms and if they cant be used now let them be ready for service when they are needed. I for one will never grumble but the consequence be what it may. For the way they treated our prisoners I think it would be a good plan for the government to retaliate by putting the prisoners we hold at hard labor on public works if they retaliate for this they will have to feed our men or they can't work them for every Negro soldier they murder we ought to hang 3 Rebels.
