This subseries consists of research notes compiled by Dr. Lewis for the development of his 2017 book, The Industrialist and the Mountaineer: The Eastham-Thompson Feud and the Struggle for West Virginia's Timber Frontier. It includes biographical information and statistical profiles about industry leaders and corporations in the 19th and 20th centuries. These materials were previously a separate collection – A&M 3634, Ronald Lewis, Historian, Research Notes Regarding Timber Industry in West Virginia – but have since been incorporated as a part of A&M 3882 at the donor's request.
