Contains artwork, photographs, a letter, and six reels of microfilm.
Box 1, folders 5-10 contains three drawings by David Hunter Strother (undated); photographs of members of the Strother family, including John, David, Louise, Mary Elliott, among others (ca. 1860-1903). One of the photographs of John Strother also includes a reproduction of a letter to his mother (1879); photographs regarding more distant relatives of the Strother family, including two portrait photographs of Katherine Riddle and a photograph of the house of Rebecca Lane Hunter (ca. 1850-1900); a newspaper clipping regarding David Hunter Strother visiting Norfolk, Virginia (1937); and a Civil War centennial reprint of a war-era newspaper containing an article regarding John Strother (1961).
Box 2 contains 2 reels microfilm of Strother Mexican dispatches and 4 reels of microfilm of Strother journals 1-44.
