Scope and content:

As required by the Bureau of Vital Statistics of the Virginia State Board of Health, Dr. Woolwine recorded deaths that occurred in the Sharon magisterial district of Bland County. Each certificate provides name of deceased, sex, race, marital status, date birth, date of death, age at death, occupation, birthplace, name of parents and birthplace of parents, cause of death, and burial information.
