Legal documents that do not appear to involve any of the Bright, Anderson, Southall or MacCaulay families. November 5, 1770 - Indenture between Richard Corbin, Robert Carter Nicholas and others, trustees of Philip Ludwell and Lucy Ludwell Paradise about the division of the estate in the 1767 will. Lists Ludwell's slaves. Includes plats. 1848 copy. 1798 - receipt for Captain Bell of the ship "Charles Carterquot; signed by P. Peachy. Fragile. May 26, 1830 - Indenture between James Goodard and Thomas L. Madison. May 1834 - Indenture between James Goddard and Thomas L. Madison and Amelia C. Goddard. Transfer of land and property in Richmond, Virginia by James Goddard and Amelia C. Wood to Thomas L. Madison. James Goddard and Amelia Caroline Wood, after their marriage, will have use of this property until their death. 1836/38 - Nash and Tatem and George W. Crawley Agreement. 1838 - list of lawsuits and payments. 1840 - Agreement between Susan Timberson and George Crawley to hire her sons. 1842 - Bond between Francis R. Whiting, executor of Thomas H. Burwell and William Jackson. 1848 - Potter and Middleton asking G.W. Southall to collect against John Smith. 1852 - Insurance agreement for Gilbert W. Bowman. Undated - Thomas Nash in lawsuit with George W. Crawley regarding land.
