Mrs. Maury's death was sorrowful to all of them; for him it was sad because he lost his wife, and the children lost their mother; the events of 27 January [1830]; the sudden onset of Mrs. Maury's illness; he tries to bear the burden with "the resignation of a Christian"; will respond to his letters the next time he writes; sends regards. 1p.
