William and Mary "Six-Footer" Scarf Box

A green and beige box advertising the William and Mary "Six-Footer" scarf. The front of the box is green and has "Many and Wonderous Are The Uses..." written in beige stylized font at the top. Below this are six beige cartoon boxes with captions that advertise the comical uses of the "Six-Footer." The first cartoon caption says: "AN ECONOMICAL MUFFLER" and shows a Sultan walking away from a group of men whose mouths are covered by the "Six-Footer." The second cartoon caption says: "WHEN YOU'RE ALONE" and shows a woman using the "Six-Footer" as a hammock. The third cartoon caption says: "TO CAPTURE A LOVED ONE" and shows a caveman dragging a cavewoman by the "Six-Footer" wrapped around her neck. The fourth cartoon caption says: "WINTER SPORTS" and shows a youth under water harpoon fishing with the "Six-Footer" as his scarf. The fifth carton caption says: "FOR MOTHERS WITH SMALL CHILDREN" and shows an Indian woman carrying two small children from the "Six-Footer" wrapped around her neck. The final cartoon caption reads: "AN EXCELLENT BODY-WARMER" and displays a mummy wrapped in the "Six-Footer." The box measures approximately 12.5in. (length) x 9.5in. (width) and is in fair condition. The front of the box has approximately 4in. of white stain along with approximately 2in. of brown stain near the cartoon caption "FOR MOTHERS WITH SMALL CHILDREN." There is also approximately 1in. of brown stain on the cartoon with the caption: "WHEN YOU'RE ALONE." There is a 1.5in. tear on the bottom left corner of the box and a 0.5in. tear on the top right corner of the box. The bottom of the box has a 0.75in. and a 0.5in. brown stain at the top and multiple black stains. Related to UA 2011.498.25a. Transferred by the Alumni Association. UA 2011.498.25b
