Black Hat worn by Kevin Dua during the Thriller Record Breaking Attempt

Scope and content:

One plastic black hat with felt on top that was worn by Kevin Dua, 2009 Senior Class President, during his attempt to break the world record for the largest Thriller dance group at the College of William and Mary. The event took place on the Sunken Garden on April 19, 2009. The College broke the previous world record of 147 with 242 students, faculty, and staff joining Dua in the attempt. The hat is in poor condition with two 2 1/2in. cracks in the brim. The hat is approximately 12 1/2in.(length) x 11 1/2in. (width). Gift of Kevin Dua.
