Scope and content:

Incomplete letter of William Booth Taliaferro, June 30,1861, written to his wife, Sally Lyon Taliaferro, while Taliaferro was serving in the Confederate Army at Laurel Mountain, Barbour County, Virginia (now West Virginia). He describes typical day of drilling his men, making his officers recite and paperwork. He describes the location of his regiment in relation to General Garnett, Lt. Col. John Pegram, Colonel Fulkerson and Jackson's headquarters. Includes hand drawn map of troop positions. Certificate of Authenticity included. Transcript included.
