Letter from Richard Stith to The Reverend The President, and the Masters and Professors of William & Mary College, dated October 24, 1772, concerning the advertisement in the Gazette requiring Surveyors to give new Bonds and requesting they send him one to complete.

"List of Surveys completed in the year 1772." Columns for Month, Day, For Whom, Acres, Place Where, and College Dues. List is in fragile condition. The legible names are William McBride, William Spicer, Samuel Hairston, Robert Hairston, Capt. John Hylton, William James, Owen Franklin, James (?) Rosser, Nathaniel Manson, William Vest, Joseph Eades, Thomas Vest, Richard Piles, Henry Davis, Robert Baber, Thomas Guille, William Waylie, Col. William Mead, Christopher Irvine and Benjamin Arther. 1772 list presented by Mrs. Elizabeth Hamlin.

"List of surveys made in the year 1770, in Beford, to witt." Columns include Month, Day, Surveyed For, Acres and College Dues. Names include Hat Creek Congregation, James Mitchel, Joshua Earley, John Wayles, William Callaway, William Harris, John Cadefax, Marden Evens, Charles Lynch, Thomas Clark, Martin Mason, Peter Fok (?), Jacob Hutts (?), William Pettyren, Jmes Radclif, Alexander Steel, Alexander Dobbins, Daniel Mitchel, Jr., Robert Mitchel, John Jones, Nicholas Conner, William Thompson and Abraham Ervin.
