Scope and Contents Informs her that the Board of Visitors of the College of William and Mary "adopted a resolution authorizing the erection of the monument of which you wrote"; reports that a copy of the resolution will be mailed to her by the Secretary. Bears signature from Mrs. Letitia Tyler Semple to Lottie Garrett, July 6, 1909. Has received her letter that informed her of the action of the Board of Visitors; has yet to receive the letter from the Secretary; asks who the Secretary is and why he has not done what he has been ordered to do; reports that the work is begun and she will soon send the workers the inscription; asks her to preserve this letter from Mr. Gordon.
