Three letters from William Booth, Jr., while studying medicine in New York, [N.Y.], to Dr. John Cabaniss in Village Hill, Nottoway, County, Virginia and Dinwiddie County, Virginia. 1819-1820. Three letters from William Booth, Jr., at Courtland, Ala., to Dr. John Cabaniss in Dinwiddie County, Virginia about the struggles of his new practice. 1821. A letter from James Cabaniss, at Richmond, to his brother, Dr. John Cabaniss, Nottoway County, [Va.] about sending John bottles of Ol: Ricini and a circular about a proposal to supply vaccine...for five years. 22 July 1822. Note: The letter was forwarded to Kennedy's Post Office, Brunswick [County]. A letter from James Cabaniss to John Cabaniss, Philadelphia about drafting $200 for purchase of goods and the marriage of Polly and [?]. No date. Invoices, receipts, and business correspondence. Many receipts are for medical supplies purchased from Bragg and Jones of Petersburg, Virginia. Includes some tax and legal documents 1811-1822. 66 pieces.
