Letter from Wm W. [Lamb] about sending a $40 check from Mr. Manning, Sheriff of Norfolk, and getting 6 elm trees from Williamsburg, possibly to be sent by Dickie Galt. Letter from Dickie Galt to unknown recipient giving reasons for wanting the return of the land (Saunders Quarter) that the unknown person is using for oats and wheat. He goes into great detail about his reasoning for changing his crops on various pieces of property that he owns. Galt is willing to aid you in removing your corn fodder etc to your house in town and as a compensation for what you have done in fencing etc. I will give you up the two years rent that might be due the first day of January next, with the privilege of cutting wood for your family's use.
