Subjects: canoeing in the college creek, Navy vessels rotting in the James River, African American grist mill worker at the grist mill by Lake Matoaka, Carter's Grove Plantation, Johnny Ayers, Charlie Werblow, Bruton Parish Church, Leonard pictured inside his room in Monroe Hall, "Towncryers" costumed in 18th century period clothing selling issues of the Virginia Gazette along the Palace Green, Leonard at Jamestown Island, M. Mogquin in a carriage operated by an African American man, President and Mrs. Calvin Coolidge in a car, original Lord Botetourt statue, Lake Matoaka, a chimney described as "last of the old plantation," and African American workers (labeled "negroes") building the wall around campus.
