King William County Commemorative Medal

Scope and content:

Scope and Contents 1-1957 Commerative King William County copper coin with description for the observance of the 1957 Jamestown Festival held in Williamsburg, Virginia. The face is a reproduction of the original seal of the Circuit Court of King William County, Virginia. The lettering reads "The Constitution or The Supreme Court" and "Liberty or Tyranny." Below the Courthouse at King William County reads ""Oldest Courthouse in Continuous Use 1724-1957." 20mm (diameter) x 1mm (thickness). Good condition with slight rust exhibited around the lettering on the perimeter of the coin. Gift of King William County. EDU2012.018
