Scope and content:

Artifacts originally created to communicate information to people. Unlike Advertising Media, a Documentary Artifact is not generally intended to elicit a specific response in regards to products, services, or events. Instead it presents a point of view, an image, or a set of ideas, often with the aim of enlightening or swaying the attitude of people.
